Version 1.1 Update

Thanks to the excellent feedback from all the wonderful players, testers, and Mini Jam participants, we have made a number of updates, fixes and changes.

Additions

• Added a basic scoring system.
• Added a real pause screen
• Added a Story tab on the main menu
• Added a hitflash to player and enemies to make it more clear when damage is taken
• Enemies now have a short hitstun
• Player now has a short period of invincibility after being hit
• Added a sound for collecting powerups

Changes

• Grabbing a pickup while at full weapon power will heal you one stage
• Third weapon spread angle reduced
• Boss attack patterns have been changed up to be a little more challenging
• Spacebar can now be used as a fire button
• Weapon sounds now have some random variation

Fixes

• Enemy sprites will no longer rotate and look bad
• Enemy sprites will properly face the direction they are moving
• Fixed bug that crashed the game upon killing the boss
• Fixed a sound issue with end of level woosh
• Keyboard can now be used to navigate the main menu
