Goodbye! -Moon Men
Goodbye!
-Moon Men
Made for Mini Jam 130: Lunar in April 2023.
Once again we missed an entire day of production and had to scramble, but are pretty happy with what we came up with. Given more time we would have tried to expand on the enemy waves and types, as well as more offensive and defensive options, which we originally intended to balance out using a currency system, but ran out of time.
How to play:
The game is about a 10-second invasion of your moon. Each iteration you choose three actions and their directions to play out over those 10 seconds.
If any invaders get through, time is reset. You then pick three new actions, while all your previous iteration's actions still play out in addition to your new actions.
Your goal is to prevent all invaders from landing in the fewest iterations.
You will only need your mouse to click which actions you wish to perform during each action phase of the invasion.
You will have 3 new Action phases every invasion. You must select between the options on your command screen between each invasion.
Shield - Create a shield to protect from invaders for a time. Shields can be broken by too many enemy invaders and will need to be reinforced with more shields in the same action phase.
Missile - Launch 3 Missile projectiles in a direction to eliminate the invaders with no mercy given.
Laser - The most brutal of all heavy metal moon machinery. The laser will sweep across a plane eliminating everything in its path.
